I set this site up as I am indeed an avid home assistant user. I have used it from the very early days back in 2015 when it was anything but easy to use, and was a constant thorn in my side.
Many times I did wish that I hadn’t bothered, but I stuck with it on and off. Fast forward 7 years, and its now my daily go to place to do almost anything in my home (Automation Wise).
I must admit, when I buy any new products, I do indeed ask myself, “will this work with Home Assistant” and the usual answer is “Yeah it will be ok.”
Someone will have a add on if it’s isn’t part of the default integration”, and 9 times out of 10 it is.
But there isn’t a quick way of knowing sometimes without trying, and so this is why this site has been born.
Not to say it works or not, but to give my aspect on all the devices I have tried and tested, and whether indeed they worked for me.
And so I plan to write more blogs/Articles etc (Time Permitting – I have a day job), on the devices I have used, and tried with home assistant, and how I got on.
If there are any items which I haven’t covered, and you would like me to, please let me know. I will do my best to get these tested, so I can give my honest review, and help some of you with your hard earned purchases.
